Caren Weiner Campbell
Carrie founded Synoptical Charts in 2008. Her visualizations combine technical expertise from her information science degree with research, reporting and communications skills honed during her previous career as a magazine writer and editor. The career move was a natural one -- from describing the world verbally to describing it numerically. Both roles call for assembling and analyzing facts, then organizing and arranging them in a way that conveys their significance.
The visual resume below is an example of Carrie's ability to present familiar kinds of information in innovative ways. Here, a timeline matrix lists former employers, summarizes her skill set, and illustrates how her skills developed from job to job. The image is simple yet informative.
